ASPT: the Monster-class Event Originating from Asia
In an effort to create a prestigious tournament in Asia, following the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and European Poker Tour (WPT), ASPT is operated by top professionals from Japan, including “Jaysol,” a famous poker YouTuber and a contracted professional player for Sammy Inc.
This time, ASPT Taiwan will be held with Asia Poker Arena(CTP), as the first Japanese organization to have the partnership.
This series, which emphasizes “Player First,” allows participants to experience a meticulously designed tournament structure created by the top Japansese professional poker players.
The inaugural ASPT Korea 2023, held at “Paradise City” in South Korea, attracted over 2,000 entries and a total prizepool of over 1.3 billion KRW(1 million USD), generating significant excitement.
Now, the second edition of ASPT will be held at the new venue in Taiwan, “Asia Poker Arena”, from September 1 (Fri) to September 10 (Sun) for a total of 10 days.

Attractions of ASPT
While the guaranteed prizepools are attractive, the biggest allure lies in the completely new tournament design that puts “Player First” in every aspect.
One of the key concepts of this series, is to ensure that every visitor leaves with as many enjoyable memories as possible.
-
Increasing the Number of “in the money” Players
There is nothing more exhilarating in a poker tournament than the moment of victory or making it into the money. With the goal of allowing as many people as possible to experience that joy, the event is packed with as many events as possible during the duration of the event.
-
The “Best in Asia” Tournament Structure
Typically, when there are many tournaments in an event, the latter stages tend to progress rapidly (turbo) to save time. However, ASPT is the opposite, with a structure design that allows a thorough competition in the crucial later stages, where significant prize money is at stake.
-
“Player of the Series”
The esteemed title of “Plaof the Series” will be awarded to the player who performs the best throughout the event.

“ASPT TAIWAN 2023”
Taiwan will be the host for the second edition of ASPT. Following the success of the inaugural event, this is one of the top poker tournaments in Asia, known for adopting the highest quality tournament structure and being player-first, operated by Japan’s top professionals.
Based on the philosophy of player-first, ASPT ensures that all participants can enjoy the tournament. RFID tables (live-streaming system) will be introduced at the final table of the main event to deliver real-time game coverage and share the excitement of the tournament with a wider audience.
Moreover, for this event, ASPT has renewed the playing cards and poker chips and meticulously designed the venue to reflect the ASPT theme. It will be an unforgettable tournament experience for the players. The battles between poker players from Taiwan, Japan, and across Asia, as well as participants from around the world, will commence this September.

With that in mind, ASPT has put great effort into creating a comfortable atmosphere within the venue and has carefully considered various aspects such as entry fees and the tournament schedule to ensure that all participants can enjoy the event. The aim is to enhance the tournament management and provide an even more fulfilling experience.
