To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Hachiko’s birth, Meta Akita produced NFT as the first hometown tax return gift in Akita Prefecture.
Meta Akita Inc. (https://akitainu-hozonkai.com/metaakita/en/ ) will produce a limited NFT (digital art) commemorating the 100th anniversary of Hachiko’s birth for the first time in Akita Prefecture as a return gift for Odate City’s hometown tax.
The design of this NFT will be produced by the community of Meta Akita and the Akita-Inu fans around the world.
Meta Akita is an IT company that contributes to the promotion of Akita-Inu and regional revitalization with the vision of “making the world’s fastest declining birthrate and aging city into the most prosperous city in the world”. So far, Meta Akita has sold Akita-Inu NFT series with design of Akita-Inu and Akita culture.
Blockchain technology, which is the basis of NFT, is called the next Internet, and it has become a national strategy of Japan as an important element that supports our lives in the future. Through this initiative, Meta Akita will accelerate support for the introduction of advanced technology in local governments.
