学校法人アジア学院アジア農村指導者養成専門学校は今年50周年を迎えます。学生として受け入れているアジア・アフリカの農村リーダーたちの有機農業や社会問題の学びを支えるために、ボランティアを募集しています。また、インターンを送る学校・団体の受け入れもしております。より学びを深めたい方には途上国のリーダーたちと共に日本人学生として学ぶ道があります。

フィールドでの学びと共にコミュニティでの生活を通して、環境と食について学ぶことができました。さまざまな国から来た、さまざまな職業をもった人たちと話す機会が多かったのです。
今でも覚えているのは、ハーブ農園をもっているアメリカ人ボランティア夫婦との会話です。彼らはGMO（遺伝子組み換え作物）のことを話し、自分たちのところではGMO製品の表示に関する法律がないことを教えてくれました。まず、GMOが何であるかも知らなかった自分にとっては、そういう問題があることに驚きました。
アジア学院での学びや友情を含めた経験は、忘れられないものになりました。

Join Asian Rural Institute as Volunteer and Intern to support Rural Leaders from Asia and Africa.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Asian Rural Leaders Training Center of the Asian Rural Institute. We are looking for volunteers to support the rural leaders from Asia and Africa. we accept as participants to learn about organic agriculture and social issues. We also accept schools and organizations that send interns.
The unique experience in our school environment will help you broaden your horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the international community.

I was able to learn about the environment and food through living in the community as well as learning in the field. I had many opportunities to talk with people from different countries and with different professions.
I still remember a conversation I had with an American volunteer couple who had an herb farm. They talked about GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and told me that in their place there were no laws regarding the labeling of GMO products. First of all, I was surprised that such an issue existed, as I did not even know what GMOs were.
My experience at ARI, including the learning and friendship, was unforgettable.
Learning about organic agriculture and social issues has broadened my horizons and helped me to better understand the international community. Finally, if you are at all interested, please visit ARI and see for yourself!
