FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 23, 2026 | Diver-X Inc.
Diver-X Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / Representative Director: Yamato Sakoda) announces that effective July 1, 2026, the company will change its name to “Melt Interface Technologies, Inc.” (Melt Interface Technologies).
Concurrently, the company will reorganize and integrate its previously independently operated businesses under the common axis of Human-technology interfaces into three divisions: “Contact®” — interfaces for the XR and robotics domains; “Melt Interface” — general-purpose interfaces; and “Solutions” — B2B contract development. This name change clarifies the company’s evolution into an enterprise that designs interfaces themselves, aligning its core technology identity with its name.

Background of the Name Change — Integrating Three Businesses Under the Interface Axis
Since its founding, Diver-X has been recognized as a peripheral device manufacturer for the XR and robotics sectors. The company has developed interfaces that connect human body movement and fingertip sensation to the digital world, starting with the glove-type device ContactGlove. ContactGlove is used by many users in consumer VR platforms such as VRChat, while also expanding into industrial applications in robotics and manufacturing. In conjunction with this name change, these businesses will be systematized under the new brand “Contact®.”
Meanwhile, the company has also been developing general-purpose interfaces for everyday life, represented by MeltMouse — a PC input device — under the “Melt Interface” division. In addition, the company has been engaged in B2B contract development (“Solutions”), providing the elemental technologies cultivated in these domains to partner companies according to their specific needs.
These three businesses — “Contact®” for XR and robotics, “Melt Interface” for general-purpose use, and “Solutions” for contract development — have until now been operated as separate initiatives. The core concept behind this name change is to integrate them under the common axis of “Human-technology interface.”
Crucially, ContactGlove, MeltMouse, and individual contract projects are each considered “one application” of the company’s core technology — interfaces. Individual product categories such as gloves and mice, or individual projects, are simply the current form that answers the question of how to design the boundary between Human and technology.
What the company is truly addressing is not the products or solutions themselves, but the interfaces that lie beyond them. The purpose of this change is to align the company name with the essence of its business: not an “XR company” or an “input device company,” but an enterprise that designs the intersection of people and technology.
The Meaning Behind the New Name: “Melt Interface Technologies”
The new name expresses the essence of the company’s business — placing interfaces themselves, not product categories, at its core.
“Melt” — The philosophy of dissolving the boundaries that separate Human from technology, creating natural experiences that make conscious operation unnecessary
“Interface” — A declaration that the company’s core capability is not individual products such as gloves or mice, but the design of connection points themselves
“Technologies” — An indication that the company integrates the three businesses — Contact®, Melt Interface, and Solutions — and is an enterprise that bundles multiple technology domains into one
New Structure — Three Businesses and Their Roles
Under the new name, the company will deploy its core interface technology across different touchpoints through three businesses. Each business represents a different “output” built on the same technology foundation, each serving a distinct role.
Contact® (XR and Robotics Interface Business)
This business handles interfaces for the XR and robotics domains. The glove-type device ContactGlove enables natural hand expression and operation in consumer VR platforms such as VRChat, while also being deployed in industrial applications such as robot teleoperation and data collection.
Contact® does not stop at providing individual devices. It designs the “Input” between Human and technology through devices, and from there, connects value to subsequent services and solutions. This is the domain where the most cutting-edge technologies are tested, and the interface technologies refined here also serve as the foundation for other businesses.
Melt Interface (General-Purpose Interface Business)
This business handles general-purpose interfaces rooted in everyday life, represented by MeltMouse. It deploys the interface design technologies cultivated in the industrial domain into consumer products including PC input devices that everyone uses daily, delivering natural experiences that make conscious operation unnecessary to society at large.
Melt Interface does not stop at improving existing interfaces. It proposes new approaches to interfaces suited for an era in which AI is embedded in every aspect of daily life, and further develops these into services. By designing natural touchpoints between Human and AI, it takes on the role of redefining the input experience for the coming era.
Solutions (B2B Solutions Business)
Based on the elemental technologies cultivated to date, this business handles contract development and commissioned development with partner companies. It provides knowledge accumulated in both Contact® and Melt Interface as interfaces tailored to individual business challenges. It takes on the role of providing technology not just as products, but as design capability itself, supporting the revenue base of the entire business.
Partnerships and Collaboration
The company is engaged in capital alliances and joint development with multiple partner companies, including major domestic manufacturers. Through collaboration with each company, the company will accelerate the real-world adoption of technology in both industrial and consumer domains.
Future Outlook
Going forward, the company aims to expand the application domains of interface technology through its three businesses and present a new relationship between Human and technology to society. The name change marks a milestone toward that long-term vision.
