Pale Blueの展示ブースでは、今回初披露となるPale Blueの水推進機を搭載した「100kg級衛星」の模型を展示します。さらに、2022年度JAXA革新的衛星3号機により世界初の宇宙実証を予定している水統合式推進機、高い推進力が特長の小型衛星向け水蒸気式推進機を手に取ってご覧いただけます。

  • 技術発表「SmallSat Session X: Propulsion」内容について

世界初の宇宙実証を予定している、水統合式推進機(水蒸気式・水プラズマ式のハイブリッド)における打ち上げ前試験結果について、代表取締役の浅川により執筆された論文に基づいて発表を行います。

Small Satellite Conference 2022参加に向けたコメント:2020年4月に創業して以降、COVID-19の影響もあり、Small Satellite Conferenceはオンライン開催が続いていましたが、ようやく念願の現地参加ができるようになりました。世界最大級の小型衛星会議において、企業展示と技術発表の両方を行うことで、グローバルでの市場展開を更に加速させてまいります。

U of Tokyo spin-off space startup to exhibit at SmallSat Conference, Aug 6-11 in US

  • Pale Blue Inc. (“Pale Blue”) will exhibit at the Small Satellite Conference 2022 (August 6 – 11 at Utah State University) 
  • Dr. Asakawa (CEO) will speak at the technical presentation, held on Wednesday, August 10th
  • Pale Blue (booth number 49) will showcase water-based hybrid thruster for small satellites planned for the world-first space demonstration

  • About the exhibit contents

Pale Blue will showcase a 100kg-satellite mockup equipped with the water resistojet for the first time. Furthermore, this exhibit will feature the world’s first Multiple Water Propulsion Systems, which is scheduled to be demonstrated in space for the first time by JAXA’s Innovative Satellite Technology Demonstration-3 by March 2023, and the Water Resistojet for small satellites that features high thrust.

The CEO Asakawa will present on the topic of “Pre-Flight Testing Results of Multiple Water Propulsion Systems,” which is scheduled to be the world’s first space demonstration for a water-based hybrid thruster (resistojet and ion thruster).

Comment towards the Small Satellite Conference 2022: We are finally able to participate on-site, although the Small Satellite Conference has been held online since the establishment in April 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. We will further accelerate our global market development by having both corporate exhibits and technology presentations at the world’s largest Small Satellite Conference.
