分離精製剤は、バイオ医薬品製造等の精製工程で使用されるもので、バイオ医薬品で現在主流となっている抗体医薬品はもとより、近年注目を集めている核酸医薬品の精製においても高い分離性能を有しているものとなります。
昨今、抗体医薬品を中心に遺伝子治療薬、新型コロナウイルスワクチン等で需要が拡大し、核酸医薬品市場も急速に成長していることから、この分野での新規開発・製造への投資が活発になっています。本プロジェクトは、その需要増に応え、安定供給体制の確立を図るため、大幅な生産能力の増強を行うものです。

TEC Project Services Corporation (TPS, President and CEO Keishi Obara), a domestic subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation was awarded a separation and purification media manufacturing plant from Tosoh Corporation.
Separation and purification media are used in the purification process of biopharmaceutical manufacturing as well as other processes. One of the critical applications is the purification of antibody-derived molecules. Besides this still growing market, demand for biopharmaceuticals is expanding to gene therapies, RNA-based vaccines and drugs, and other modalities.
This project is intended to increase the production capacity of those products in response to the growing demand for antibody and oligonucleotide drug purification.
As concerns over the global spread of infectious diseases persist, the demand for a stable supply of pharmaceuticals in Japan continues to grow. Under these circumstances, Toyo Engineering Group’s rich experiences in the field of pharmaceutical plants, as well as its proactive proposals regarding quality, lead time and cost, aimed at realizing the client’s investment plan , were highly evaluated and lead to this award.
